Steps to Salvation
“Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
Acts 16:30
According to the Word of God, to be saved is:
1.
To be set free from the power and penalty of sin and death- Romans 8:2
“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”
2.
To be justified and have peace with God- ​Romans 5:1
“Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
3.
To be given eternal life.-​St John 5:24
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my Word, and believeth on Him that sent me has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death unto life.”
Why does a person need to be saved?
According to the Word of God, we need to be saved because:
1.
We have all sinned against God.
2.
Every person born from Adam was declared a sinner because of Adam’s sin.
How can a person be saved?
According to the Word of God, a person is saved by:
1.
Believing on the Lord Jesus Christ,
2.
and confessing Him as Lord of his or her life, in word and deed.
Prayer
“Dear Lord,
I know that I have sinned and created a barrier between you and me. I want to live for you but I can’t do it on my own. I believe that you love me and died to save me. Please forgive me for my sins and come into my life. I now accept your free gift of salvation, in Jesus’s name, Amen.”
